There will be Mass on Memorial Day, May 27th, with Fr. Hessian, at 9:00 a. m. Weather permitting, Father blesses the graves of our Dearly Departed at this time, after Mass.

Fr. Hessian will also say a Mass on Saturday, June 15th, at 5:00 p. m.

Masses at St. Anne’s in Le Sueur are Saturdays at 5:15 p. m., Sundays 8 and 10:30 a. m.

Mark Welter passed away November 29, 2019. Burial took place at in Le Sueur at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the Le Sueur Military Guard. Many of Marks efforts showed his love and commitment to increase the awareness of today’s problems. “Unless we learn to live together as brothers and sisters, we die together as fools.” His passion in life was global history and teaching. Mark was a humorously, brilliant speaker, and highly respected by all who knew him. Fran Byrne Tiegs, Darlene Holtz and Ed Burns are classmates of Mark’s.

Jim Koller, the son of George and Mary Jo Koller, passed away May 9. Jim served in the United States Air Force and lived many years in Cotton, Mn. Our sympathies to his family. He graduated from Le Sueur’s “Class of 67” along with John May, Lynn Regan, Tom Doherty, Jim Denzer, John May and Loni Burns.

Fran Tiegs spent several days with old neighbors, Hugo and Helen O’Neill Leider in Duluth, and visited Fred and Jeanne Luskey. They had a grand time.

Declan O’Connell celebrated his 10th birthday on Saturday with friends and family. Happy Birthday Declan!

Many celebrated Mothers Day here in St. Thomas by partying with their families or visiting their graves, and some did both.

Congratulations to Dr. Larry Wolff, a periodontal specialist at Northpark Dental, who was “recently honored by the University of Minnesota for his outstanding career in teaching dental students and serving the University in so many ways, including ten years as chairman of the Department of Developmental and Surgical Services. We are honored to have had him on our staff for over 30 years. He is also the most uniquely friendly, thoughtful, considerate, and positive individual that you would ever hope to meet! Congratulations, Larry!”

MARTHA MAY IS RETIRING! 45 years at Le Sueur’s First Farmers & Merchants Bank.
We wish John and Martha the best in her retirement. Many celebrated on May 17th at the bank with coffee and cake. Libations later. Proud to say, Larry and Martha are this writers first cousins on our St. Thomas Tree.

Bragging Rights: Natalie Elfstrand, granddaughter of Diane Burns and Dale Ruhland, has earned a BBA in marketing from U of M Duluth, and Natalie is our great niece.

Reminder: We are celebrating our birthdays together on May 19th at the Roadhaus Event Center.
