As for my cingular service, it works great throughout the entire town - including inside of my home - I lose signal going west about 1/2 way up the 19 hill - otherwise I travel to the metro area and in Southern Minnesota and have signal virtually every place that I go - Hope that helps.
I think with T-mobile and Verizon, you have to update your phone somehow to catch all the signals, is what i have heard anyways. Contact the Cust. Serv for help on that, i bet thats your problem if you used to get service and no longer get it
I called T-Mobile last night about my poor cell phone signal. The customer service rep gave me a bunch of voodoo-like instructions to try for the next three days. Then, I am supposed to call back with results. If the technicians decide there is something wrong with the signal "we may have to put up a new tower in your area!" So, I expect a better signal in three to five years.
I called T-Mobile again. This service rep stated the previous instructions I received were useless. He is having some technicians check the signal. If you have a bad signal, call them and let them know. The guy states it might be a power problem and apparently they can boost the power?
We have both Nextel and Midwest Wireless, Jim has good service in town with the Nextel. I have no signal with Midwest Wireless. With the 2 different service providers we can go just about anywhere in the state and have 1 that works. We don't use the cell phones that much at home because we have 600 free long distance minutes with Frontier.
I also called Tmobile to say the signal is bad. He said that for the 56044 zip code you should not expect to have a signal inside your home. He said that you will might have it outside or in a car, and if you get it in your house you are lucky.
