Henderson native Michael E McGuire died on St. Patrick's Day at Abbott Nortwestern Hospital Funeral is Monday at Holy Reedeemer in Montgomery with burial in the family plot in St. Joseph's in Henderson. Former Henderson City Attorney, State Legislator and great guy. Always proud of his Henderson, and Irish, roots.

Mike McGuire was a wonderful person, family man, attorney, Legislator and he will be missed by many that knew him. His visitation was attended my many and no doubt this is evidence of the high regard he was held by those who knew him. He had strong ties to his home town and gave much of his time and effort to make Henderson better and develop the history and restoration that Henderson is experiencing.

I cannot remember when I didn't know Mike McGuire. He was, as the above comments relate, a class act through and through. He touched so many lives and made us all the better for it. Mike would rather talk about you and how things were going in your life, than about himself. He never forgot where he came from and was very proud of his home town. We'll miss him, really miss him.
