The next Eucharistic Celebrations at St. Thomas is Saturday, October 16th at 5 pm for the living & deceased members of St. Thomas and at St. Scholastica at 8:15 pm for people of the region.
At St. Scholastica on Sunday, October 17th 9 am mass is for the living & deceased members of St. Scholastica.

The Sullivan's celebrated as Cassie Simon, Bob and Iris Sullivan's granddaughter, and Tim Olson were united in marriage in Vesli on the second of October. Cassie is the daughter of Arnie and Maureen (Sullivan) Simon. Tim's parents are Brett and Judy (Mager) Olson. The grooms roots include St. Thomas, as well, being the grandson of Gert and Richard Mager. Special visitors, from a distance, were Bob and Iris's son, Mike and his wife Cindy from Montgomery, Alabama, granddaughter Holly Sullivan Denning and her children, Kailey and Carson, from Milton, Kansas. The reception followed at the Ridgeview Golf Course. “Cassie made a beautiful bride, smiling the whole day.” The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and will make their home in New Prague, MN. The Sullivans and Simons are happy to welcome Tim into their clan. Peggy Sullivan's been talking to Justin for 2 years about dancing at this wedding, but she couldn't get him out there. He didn't dance once. He is such a good person and a cute lad, some gal will just snatch him right up.

Sean Hoehn and Lydia Hard, of Mankato, were united in marriage at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth on Saturday, October 9. The groom is Ted and Maureen Middelstadt's lad and the bride is the daughter of Larry and Michelle Hard, all of Blue Earth. A reception followed at the “Old Father Hall” at the Fairibault County Fairgrounds. Rosemary and Vangie Burns, Mary Grace O'Brien, Annette KinKeade and Loni joined Bernetta Wolff, Glenn and Marcia Cotton in Mankato, then enjoyed the festivities in Blue Earth. Times are a changin'...The grooms mother wore something borrowed and blue. Sean is a grandson of Alice Burns Hoehn making the groom... two generations from St. Thomas.
Ryan and Bobbi Jo Nash, of Savage, are the proud parents of twin boys, born at St. Francis Hospital Shakopee on September 30th. Jackson James weighed 5 pounds,13 ounces and Carter Richard weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces, with lots of dark hair. The “James” is for Bobbi Jo's dad, and “Richard” is after Grandpa Nash. Ed and Marian Halloran are the lads great-grandparents making the twins...two generations from St. Thomas.

Happy 63rd Wedding Anniversary for Ed and Marian Halloran. They 'tied the knot' October 11, 1947 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Ed and Marian enjoyed dining out on their anniversary. this year.

Our birthday bunch: Anna Sullivan turned 5 years old last Tuesday.
Happy Birthday to Ted Odenthal on the 8th of October, and his dad, Connie on October 9th. Connie's sister conveniently forgot the years they were both born.
