There will be Mass on Memorial Day, Thursday 27th, with Father Hessian, at 9:00 a. m. Weather permitting, Father blesses the graves of our Dearly Departed, following Mass. Father Hessian will also say a Mass on Saturday, June 15th, at 5:00 p. m.
Masses at St. Anne’s in Le Sueur are Saturdays at 5:15 p. m., Sundays 8 and 10:30 a. m.
Paul Schwartz graduated with honors, with a degree in Law Enforcement last Wednesday
from Alexandria Tech College. Paul is the son of Mary Schwartz, and one of the Pioneer Power Steam guys.
We are humbled by the crowd who showed up for the Birthday Party Sunday afternoon and for the donations given to the charities chosen. We are so blessed to have family, friends, pool pals, and Bingo buddies, Pioneer Power members, nice neighbors, dedicated KCHK listeners and St. Thomas readers. Our appreciation to the Good Lord for the cool damp and rainy weather. It kept farmers out of the fields. The Roadhaus’s dedicated staff and of course, St. Thomas and Henderson folks. Tom’s sister, Sheila Patterson from Plano, Texas, came the farthest. Many reached deep into their pockets to help the unfortunate.
Our choices, for the Sibley County Cancer Cruise, non-profit, locally based and everybody knows or knew somebody with the dreaded disease. The Smile Network is a Minnesota based, non-profit organization, Henderson has the Ugly Sweater Contest. This provides free life-altering surgeries to children around the world, correcting cleft-palates. I enjoyed visiting, watching folks and hearing our beautiful granddaughters, Katie, Anna, and Madelyn ask “Grandma, will you dance with me?”
