Future Mass here at St. Thomas with Father Hessian will be on Saturday, November 2 at 5 pm.
Masses at St. Anne’s in Le Sueur are Saturdays at 5:15 p. m., and Sundays 8 and 10:30 a. m. with Father Chris Shofner officiating.
Mass at St. Thomas this cool Saturday evening, was officiated by Father Roger Hessian to about 50 for Kathy Wagner Karels, Theresa Denzer, Minnie Brandt, and 10 year-old Brogan Schaefer. Todd Sullivan read the Liturgy. T. C., Jim Oak, Gary and Shirley Rutt took up the Collection and the Gifts. Debbie O’Connell assisted Father as a Eucharistic minister.
Congratulations to the LSH Metallic Gold team; Hattie Tuck, Jacob Hovick, Joe Fixsen, Sofie Klehr, Johnna Maxwell, and Owen Griesen on winning first place honors at the Cleveland invitational Jr. High Knowledge Bowl meet Tuesday. 19 teams competed in this first match of the season. LSH Royal Blue also competed, placing 13th.
Michael “Mickie” Sullivan, Maxine’s lad, ran the Belle Plaine Scenic Byway Half Marathon Saturday morning. He finished the 13.1 mile race in 1 hour 38 minutes, finishing third overall. Mickey was one of 50 plus runners who braved the 34 degree temperatures and finished the half marathon.
Tate, Mason, and Noah Tupy, along with their Mom and Dad, Paul and Annie and cousins Jonathon, Audree, and Molly and their Mom and Dad, Bob and Kelly Kartak Connelly were at the Lexington Lake Front Saturday evening celebrating Columbus Day. It was a favorite holiday of the children’s Grandma Corrine Brandt Connelly (July 13, 1957-May 24, 2014) a.k.a Betty Udder. She was a United States Postal Service employee and always had a break on Columbus Day… Doc O’Connell was at Lex. celebrating Columbus Day also.
The first frost on our pumpkins appeared on the morning of October 14th.
