Father James Burns will have the Easter Vigil mass at St. Thomas on Saturday, April 11th, at 7:00 pm.

Masses at St. Anne’s in Le Sueur are Saturdays at 5:15 p. m., and Sundays 8 and 10:30 a. m. with Father Chris Shofner.

Congratulations to Le Center St. Patrick’s Day Royalty, Allison McCabe won Miss Shamrock, Erin O’Rourke Schultz won Miss Leprechaun plus the Gregory O’Connell Award, and Brooklynn Anderly won Miss Irish Rose. A few gathered for the Mulligan Stew, Saturday. Grand Marshals, Don and Mary Louise Halloran Hayden, enjoyed Mulligan Stew with a small group. Mary looked lovely in her green jacket and green elegant western hat. Their son, John Hayden from Buffalo and Don’s sister Dorothy Dinwittie were among them, to help celebrate. The Halloran clan was well represented in the parade, and Tim Halloran and Dick O’Connel marched with the Hibernians We enjoyed our Mulligan stew and laughs, from a distance, with “Cherry Cheeks” Retka , Eric O’Connell and Davie Connelly. After the parade more folks gathered at the American Legion.

Congratulations to Belle Plaine’s 2020 St. Patrick’s Day Royalty: Hayley O’Brien, Brooke McGlinchey and Cassandra Leeper. A drive through Belle Plaine, showed the counts were down a little. Folks were out and about wearing their green.

Bragging Rights: John, “Mr. Hayden” an assistant principal at the Buffalo Junior High School, where our grandson Andy attends. After he checked his phone to see a picture of who Andy is, he said., “Andy’s not a problem.”

Sunday night, Grandma texted their adult children, “Grandpa and Grandma’s Daycare is OPEN!” Daughter-in-law text back. “OH, NO. IT’S NOT! They’re 70!”

We are taking breaks, from doing nothing, to go to the drive-up at any McD’s for a shamrock shake. We’ve got to be careful, to take this pandemic serious, we definitely wouldn’t want to carry it home to loved ones.
