We celebrated Marvin and Will Halloran’s graduation at the St. Thomas Sportsman’s Park on Saturday.
Perfect weather with good company, good food and a good time.

Although bittersweet, most heard the sad news at the graduation gathering... Pat Sullivan, Kevin and his sisters Karen, Katie, Kelly, and Kim’s “Uncle Pat didn’t wake up this morning.” Pat is the son of Leo and Mag Sullivan and brother of Mary Kay and brother-in-law of Donnie Halloran, all from St. Thomas who preceeds Pat, who passed away sometime during the night of June 19/20. Pat, one of ours, attended catechism and received his early sacraments here in St. Thomas. Pat will be remembered around St. Thomas as a lover of nature, and well-liked with a quiet sense of humor.
Our sympathies to his wife Ramona, and his siblings Joannie, Jeanette, Terry “Buckeye” and Theresa “Tilly” and their families.

Always did look up to and have a high respect for our Emergency Teams. This writer has a renewed respect for our firefighters after watching them fight the fire of a house burning on the hill north of Henderson, Sunday morning. Fire Departments from the surrounding areas, Henderson, Green Isle, Arlington, Belle Plaine and Le Sueur, dressed in heavy gear, worked hard carrying heavy equipment up the steep driveway, some overcome by the heavy smoke, hours later come down drenched, exhausted and covered with soot...then have to gather belongings, wrap hoses and pack equipment back on the trucks...

Overheard: “Do you really know anybody that has tested positive for this corona?”
This week this writer can say, “Yes”, it’s really out there, folks.
Keep the distance, keep sanitizing, keep safe...and God Bless.
