? On Friday, September 18, 2020, the first blood drive was held honoring Barb Miller at the Henderson RoadHaus.  This drive was a private event for mostly family members; however, future events will be open to the public. Fifty units of blood were successfully collected. Barb was well known as a mother of 15, wife to Val of 66 years, and a rural Belle Plaine farmer. At 81, she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer; during her almost 7-month
battle she received blood transfusions allowing her to spend more time with her loved ones.  Barb’s family members are grateful for the generosity of those donors and would like to do the same for other families. Giving blood was important to Barb; her legacy will continue through semi-annual blood drives. The next drive is tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 26th, 2020.  Please visit: https://www.forevermissed.com/barbara-ellen-miller/about  for additional blood drive announcements in honor of Barb Miller.

Mickey Sullivan celebrated the memory of Milt Lowe’s passing one year ago, by getting Milt’s John Deere G running, after many years. Mickey got his dad George’s Farmall M running recently too.

Visitors at their brother Charles and Yvonne’ Wolffs home recently were Ray, Jim and Jim’s wife, Betty Wolff. Diane Burns and Loni also visited the Wolffs recently, lunched together at the Landing, enjoyed a tour of Charles and Yvonne’s new home and lovely gardens, visited with Gerry while touring the home place, looking more like a park now, all cleaned after the fire. Charles and Yvonne’s big news was their daughter Lori Ann Wolff Stangler, has retired from the Air Force after 33 years of service. The Wolffs’ are on the Burns Branch of our St. Thomas Tree.

‘‘Greetings” to Louie Ziemke, dedicated St. Thomas reader, who bulldozed Charlie and Madelyne Wolff’s home.

Get well wishes to Harley Loewe... and Keep Well wishes to all. God bless.
