Sophie Oak, daughter of James and Christine Oak was Baptised Sunday, September 20th in St Thomas by Father James Stiles. Sophie’s Sponsors are Brad and Holly Schmitz.
Julie Odenthal passed away Wednesday, September 23. Her funeral mass was at St. Scholastica Catholic Church on Saturday, the 26th with Father Eugene Theisen officiating. Julie was laid to rest on the southwest side of the parish cemetery, in the Odenthal lot near Ted and Gertie. Our sincere sympathies to Connie and their family. We’ve been neighbors for generations, kitty-corner across CR 11 and 28, in the shadow of our St. Thomas Church.
Many friends and family walked with Declan O’Connell’s Irish Clan and raised $2,815 for the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota on Saturday! This year the event took place at Declan’s House in Chanhassen! This was their 11th year walking, celebrating and raising awareness about Down Syndrome.
Susan Graham, Ralph Jr’s daughter, went in for routine blood work last week and ended up having kidney surgery at Abbott Hospital. “She was feeling fine!” Plans were for her to come home soon.
Greetings to Donnie Morrison. Donnie was at the Roadhaus in Henderson recently for breakfast. Donnie was married to Judy Savage, Leo and Toddy’s daughter from St. Thomas, and he worked at Shiely’s with Dad. Wish I had a recorder, he had some wonderful stories to share.
Mitch and Stephanie Koller have sold their beautiful home in Belle Plaine for some country living, excited to call it their new home in October, they are presently enjoying some quality time with Colleen and Dale Rolhoff, “Grandma and Papa Dale” as the Kollers await the closing date of their country home
