Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 20 at 11 a. m. at Most Holy Redeemer in Montgomery at 11, with interment at St. John’s cemetery. Blanche was an ambitious and very familiar with folks in the Montgomery community. Many connected with Blanche on her genealogical knowledgeable and musical skills. She was brilliant!
Our sympathies to Tom and Shivaun Burns on the death of their mother, Eileen Wolff Burns on Nov 4th 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date for Edward and Eileen Burns.
Emily Sullivan's quest to find the perfect college continues. She enjoyed a nice tour of Augustana University in Sioux Falls on Saturday. She had the full tour followed by a visit for admissions to discuss possibilities and options. Emily has not made any final decisions on colleges, yet.
Audrey Retka attended the George Strait concert Saturday night at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Burns girls, Diane and Colleen, also enjoyed the concert.
Had a wonderful time at the KCHK Appreciation Party at the Park Ballroom on Sunday, November 14th. General Richard Nash gave a moving tribute and award to Tom Goetzinger, general manager of KCHK Radio, for the attention and heart warming talks Tom gives to and about Veterans and Military Radio listeners. St. Thomas’s own Mary Jean, Bruce and Cathy Halloran attended. So did Gordy and Margie Halloran Eischens, just a few days after Gordy’s heart surgery. Watched as Roger and Maryanne Heyda dance together, getting back to living their lives after the heartbreaking loss of their son. Many saw and admired as a confident Bill Bartusek ‘Stroller Danced’ with his young grandson, Jayden. St. Thomas drawing winners were Brandon and Gina’s son, Garin O’Connell, who won a John Deere farm toy and Mary Jean Halloran won a CD, radio, record player, combination modern Victrola. Can’t forget the music... was fantastic!
Til next week, Have a good one and God bless.
