1) Garth Brooks - '91
2) Roger Waters - '97
3) Jimmy Buffett - '95
4) Willie Nelson - '96 (it was a few years earlier, skeddy)
5) Tool - '02

But honorable mention definitely goes to Tom Kolter and HeyDay, live from Charlie's. The entire band stopped playing in the middle of a song to scamper outside with the rest of us patrons to watch a fight out back. Mint.

I don't think I can name just five but my favorites: Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young at the St.Paul Civic Center in the early 70s. Merle Haggard at WeFest in 85. Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Reba all at different times at the State Fair. Trisha Yearwood at Midwest Wireless Center. Tom T. Hall at Mpls Auditorium. T. Texas Tiegs several times at the Octupus Bar and The Boelter Trio (Curt,Gordy,&Tim) anytime they sang "It's Only Make Believe" in public.

Denny, don't you think our rendition of "Amazing Grace" at Charlie's should be on your list? It is at the top of mine!

I remember tnat very well,Kristen! I'm really surprised that you remember considering how intoxicated you were. Didn't I have to assist you getting up to the microphone?

Denny - I can't believe you wouldn't mention Dale V. singing "Blue Suede Shoes" at Cozy Corners.

Did Tex and Larry "The Drifter" ever do any duets?

Tex and Larry used to collaborate a little. Tex took some guitar lessons from Larry. Tex taught Larry how to sing "Lucille", and Larry taught Tex how to sing "Uncle Pen."

Oh, I see how you are! Denny, I believe you were in the same shape I was! I think our drinks of choice that evening were "slippery nipples", most of which were bought by you!!! Oh the good old days!! Skeddy, YOU actually remember seeing me? wink :p

Norton, you are right! How could I possibly forget any of Dale's performances. Larry, the Drifter, was a big influence on Tex and his early performances. Next time you see him ask him to sing you the song "Pooley,Pooley," that the Drifter taught him. That and "Old Rattler" topped the musical charts at the Octopus Bar for several weeks. Kristen K.--you must be mistaken. I'm almost sure I was sipping on Diet Pepsi that night.
