Services for Eldon Schwarz, of Le Sueur, are Friday and Saturday. Eldon was “the only Protestant student attending St. Henry’s Country School” at the time. He got every holy day off, while others had to go to mass.” He was well known and well liked, confident and friendly...and a graduate with Le Sueur’s ‘Class of 49” along with St. Thomas’s Jerry Retka, Mary Catherine Byrne Connolly, Emmett and Johnny Shaughnessy. Eldon, a U. S. Army veteran,” who loved listening to KCHK, old time music, and even tho he wasn’t Irish, he loved the sound of bag pipes.” His family will honor that request on Saturday at the funeral services as he’s ‘laid to rest’ beside his beloved Frances in Mound Cemetery. Our sympathies to his family, especially Todd and Peggy Sullivan, Mandy and Taylor, Molly and Tom, Joe and their families in the death of her dad, their grandpa and great grandpa.
